PEPperCHIP® Pan-Corona Spike Protein Microarray

Identify and compare virus-specific antibody epitope recognition of different human coronavirus spike protein antigens in a single assay with the new PEPperCHIP® Pan-Corona Spike Protein Microarray. The chip contains the spike proteins of all seven human coronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2, SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, HCoV-HKU1, HCoV-OC43, HCoV-NL63, and HCoV-229E) translated into 4,564 individual peptides for a multiplexed epitope mapping.

    Screen purified antibodies, human or animal sera for coronavirus-specific spike protein antigen recognition. Analyze the cross-reactivity of diagnostic and therapeutic antibodies or compare patient-specific antibody response profiles for immunity or seroconversion monitoring.

    Fig.1. Antibody fingerprint or cross-reactivity analysis workflow using the PEPperCHIP® Pan-Corona Spike Protein Microarray. Spike protein sequences of 7 human coronaviruses are translated into overlapping peptides and printed onto glass slides. Antibody samples, patient or animal sera are incubated on the chip followed by antibody binding to the corresponding spike protein epitopes. The resulting epitope profiles can be compared across different samples to determine antibody specificity and sensitivity, or to identify coronavirus-specific target sequences for the development of diagnostic or therapeutic antibodies.

    The new PEPperCHIP® Pan-Corona Spike Protein Microarray chip contains a single peptide array and is compatible with a 3/1 well PEPperCHIP® Incubation Tray. Each chip produced comes with HA and polio assay control peptide spots.
