Epigenetics

Diagenode - Bioruptor™
The Bioruptor uses a unique system to uniformly process multiple samples simultaneously in sealed tubes of 0.5ml to 50ml capacity. It is based on a water bath with high power ultrasound generating elements located below the tank.

Diagenode - Kits and Antibodies
Kits are available for chromatin shearing, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), and DNA methylation detection. These include the LowCell# Magnetic ChIP kit designed to perform ChIP assays with low amounts of cells, and the Methyl DNA IP Kit (MeDIP) for quantifying DNA methylation with the antibody anti-5'-methyl Cytidine.

Diagenode also produces antibodies mainly directed against targets relevant to the Epigenetics field, such as modified histones, modifying enzymes and chromatin-interacting proteins. Antibodies can be custom-made.

Biotium - GelGreen™
GelGreen™ is a new green fluorescent gel stain with the sensitivity of SYBR® Green I and can be excited by a laser-based gel scanner or a Dark Reader. Unlike SYBR Green I that degrades during storage even at low temperature or following freeze-thaw cycles, GelGreen™ can be stored at room temperature.

Biotium - Lumitein™
Lumitein™ is a luminescent dye designed for detecting proteins in polyacrylamide gels in connection with SDS-PAGE. LumiteinTM is the only protein gel stain that combines superior sensitivity, staining speed, ease of use and compatibility. It is as sensitive as the best silver stain by detecting 1 ng or less protein. Unlike silver stain, however, Lumitein™ has a linear detection range of at least 3 orders of magnitude. It is among the simplest protein gel stain by staining protein in gels in 90 minutes or less time without a separate fixation step.

Biotium - NucView™
NucView™ 488 Caspase-3 substrate is a novel cell membrane-permeable fluorogenic caspase substrate designed for detecting caspase-3 activity within live cells in real time. Different from the conventional caspase assays, NucView™ 488 Caspase-3 substrate detects caspase-3 activity within individual intact cells in a noninterfering manner.
